This policy outlines our stance on child labor, human trafficking, forced labor, and discrimination, emphasizing compliance with relevant laws and our dedication to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Scope:

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and suppliers associated with Bolt HR.

Definitions:
  • Child: A person who is under the age of 18.
  • Human Trafficking: The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons by means of threat, use of force or other forms of coercion, for the purpose of exploitation.
  • Forced Labor: Any work or service that is extracted from an individual under the menace of any penalty for which said individual has not offered themselves voluntarily.
Policy Guidelines:
  • Compliance with Laws:
  • Bolt HR will comply with all applicable labor laws, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act, 2000, the Human Trafficking and Forced Labor Prevention Act, and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
  • Child Labor:
  • Bolt HR strictly prohibits the use of child labor. Individuals below the minimum age required by applicable laws will not be employed.
  • Human Trafficking and Forced Labor:
  • Bolt HR condemns and prohibits any form of human trafficking and forced labor within its operations and supply chain.
  • Working Hours and Conditions:
  • Bolt HR ensures that all employees, regardless of age, are not subjected to excessive working hours or hazardous working conditions.
  • Non-Discrimination:
  • Bolt HR is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. All employment decisions, including hiring, promotion, and termination, will be based on merit, qualifications, and business needs.
  • Reporting Violations:
  • All employees, contractors, and suppliers are obligated to report any suspected violations of this policy promptly. Reports can be made to [designated contact].
  • Education and Development:
  • Bolt HR recognizes the importance of education for the development of young individuals. We encourage and support employees under the age of 18 to balance work responsibilities with their educational commitments.
Enforcement:

Violations of this policy will result in appropriate disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment or termination of the business relationship.
