Workplace Harassment Policy

Bolt HR is committed to maintaining a workplace free from all forms of harassment. We believe in fostering an environment that promotes respect, dignity, and collaboration among all employees. This policy outlines our stance on workplace harassment and the steps we take to prevent and address such behavior.

Definition of Harassment:

Harassment is any unwelcome behavior, conduct, comment, gesture, or display that demeans, belittles, or intimidates an individual or creates a hostile working environment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.

Forms of Harassment:

Harassment can manifest in various forms, including but not limited to verbal, written, visual, or physical conduct. This includes offensive jokes, slurs, epithets, name-calling, ridicule, insults, offensive pictures, and any other conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.

Prevention:
  • Education and Training: Bolt HR provides ongoing education and training to employees about what constitutes harassment and how to prevent it.
  • Promoting Reporting: We encourage employees to report any incidents of harassment promptly and provide multiple reporting channels to ensure accessibility.
Reporting Procedure:

If you believe you have experienced or witnessed harassment, please follow these steps:

  1. Direct Communication: If you feel comfortable, communicate directly with the person engaging in the behavior, expressing that it is unwelcome and requesting it to stop.
  2. Formal Complaint: If direct communication does not resolve the issue, or if you are uncomfortable addressing it directly, submit a formal written complaint to your supervisor, HR, or another designated authority.

Investigation:

Upon receiving a complaint, Bolt HR will conduct a thorough and impartial investigation to determine the validity of the claims. The investigation will be handled discreetly and with confidentiality to the extent possible.

Disciplinary Action:

If harassment is substantiated, prompt and appropriate corrective action will be taken, ranging from counseling and training to disciplinary measures, up to and including termination of employment.

No Retaliation:

Bolt HR strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who reports harassment or participates in an investigation. Any form of retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.

Review and Updates:

This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Updates will be made as necessary to align with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices.

By adhering to this policy, we aim to create a workplace that promotes mutual respect, fairness, and professionalism for all employees.
